JOB DESCRIPTION SAFETY OFFICER

Designation: Safety Officer

Location: Noida

Experience: 2 to 4 Years (Relevant experience preferred)

Qualification: Diploma / Degree in Engineering with a recognized Industrial Safety qualification, as required under applicable State Rules

Job Summary:

To implement and monitor workplace health and safety practices, prevent industrial accidents, ensure safe operation of machinery, and maintain compliance with applicable occupational safety legislation and factory requirements.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

- Ensure implementation of workplace safety procedures, statutory requirements, and applicable factory safety rules.
- Conduct routine safety inspections of production, SMT, assembly, testing, stores, maintenance, and other factory areas.
- Identify workplace hazards, assess risks, and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
- Monitor the safe operation of machinery, electrical equipment, compressors, soldering stations, and other production equipment.
- Ensure appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and compliance with safe working procedures.
- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Investigate accidents, near misses,



and unsafe conditions; maintain incident records and track corrective actions.
- Monitor fire safety equipment, emergency exits, evacuation routes, alarms, and emergency preparedness drills.
- Coordinate with maintenance and production teams to address unsafe equipment, electrical hazards, housekeeping issues, and other risks.
- Monitor secure handling, storage, labeling, and disposal of chemicals and other hazardous materials, wherever applicable.
- Maintain safety inspection reports, risk assessments, training records, incident registers, and statutory documentation.
- Coordinate with HR, the Factory Manager, maintenance, and external authorities during audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
- Support the implementation of 5S, hazard reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist management in implementing applicable statutory requirements concerning occupational safety, health, welfare, and accident reporting.

Required Skills:

Knowledge of industrial safety, hazard identification, and risk assessment.

Understanding of fire safety, electrical safety, PPE, and emergency response.

Experience in safety audits, accident investigations, and compliance documentation.

Good communication and employee-training skills.

Practical experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
