Role Purpose

To monitor and ensure HSE compliance across highway O&M; projects, implement safety standards, and minimize risks associated with highway operations, maintenance, and emergency response activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor HSE compliance across highway O&M; projects, including routine maintenance, road repairs, traffic management, and emergency response.
- Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, safety plans, and guidelines in line with applicable statutory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, risk assessments, and compliance reviews across project sites.
- Ensure implementation of traffic safety measures, work-zone safety, road signage, barricading, and PPE requirements.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with project HSE teams, O&M; personnel, authorities, and other stakeholders to address safety-related issues.




- Monitor HSE performance through MIS, dashboards, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
- Conduct safety training, awareness programmes, and periodic reviews of HSE performance across projects.
- Ensure compliance with applicable environmental requirements, waste management practices, and emergency preparedness plans.

Educational Qualification

B.E./B. Tech or Diploma in Engineering with a relevant HSE/Safety qualification preferred.

Experience

Relevant experience in HSE management for Highway / Expressway Operations & Maintenance projects, including site safety monitoring and corporate-level coordination.
