JOB DESCRIPTION NURSE (FACTORY)

Qualification: GNM / B.Sc. Nursing; valid nursing registration

Job Summary:

To provide basic medical care, first aid, and emergency assistance to factory employees, maintain medical records, and support workplace health and welfare requirements in accordance with applicable factory legislation and State Rules.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide first aid and immediate medical assistance to employees in case of workplace injuries, illness, burns, cuts, or other emergencies.

• Manage the factory medical room / dispensary and ensure the availability of first-aid kits and essential medical supplies.

• Maintain employee medical records, treatment registers, first-aid registers, and incident-related medical documentation confidentially.

• Coordinate with hospitals, doctors, and ambulance services for medical emergencies and referrals.





• Monitor employees requiring medical attention and assist in arranging periodic health check-ups as applicable.

• Support workplace health awareness initiatives covering hygiene, sanitation, hydration, heat stress, and occupational health.

• Assist HR and the Safety Officer in investigating workplace injuries and maintaining relevant health and incident records.

• Ensure proper storage, expiry checks, and replenishment of medical supplies.

• Assist in emergency preparedness, evacuation drills, and medical response procedures.

• Follow applicable statutory requirements relating to first aid, medical facilities, and occupational health.

Required Skills:

First-aid and emergency response skills.

Basic knowledge of occupational health and workplace injuries.

Medical record maintenance and confidentiality.

Communication, coordination, and employee-care skills.

Ability to respond calmly during emergencies.
