As we expand our retail footprint, we are looking for a passionate and hands-on Retail Trainer to build capability, consistency, and excellence across our store teams.

Role Summary

The Retail Trainer will be responsible for building and scaling frontline retail capability across All Things Baby stores. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role suited for a fast-growing startup environment, where the trainer acts as a business partner to Retail Operations, driving measurable improvements in store performance, customer experience, and team productivity.

Key Responsibilities (-Level)

Training & Capability Building

- Design and deliver structured training programs for store associates, supervisors, and store managers.
- Conduct recent joiner induction and ongoing refresher training.
- Train teams on product knowledge, category selling, cross-selling, and upselling.
- Ensure teams are well-versed with brand guidelines, customer service standards, and store SOPs.

Store Excellence & Customer Experience

- Coach store teams on customer engagement, need-based selling, and objection handling.
- Reinforce best practices to enhance conversion rates, average ticket size, and customer satisfaction.

Performance Support & Coaching

- Conduct on-the-job coaching, store visits, and role plays.
- Identify skill gaps and recommend targeted training interventions.
- Support underperforming stores with corrective training plans.

Content & Learning Tools

- Develop and update training modules, SOPs, quick reference guides, and learning content.
- Support digital learning initiatives where applicable.

Stakeholder Collaboration

- Work closely with Retail Operations, HR, and Brand teams.
- Provide regular feedback on training effectiveness and store readiness.




- Support retail launches, new store openings, and new brand rollouts.

- Strong understanding of retail sales, customer experience, and store operations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and coaching skills.
- Ability to engage frontline retail teams and inspire performance.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to link training to business outcomes.
- High energy, adaptability, and willingness to travel extensively.

Qualifications & Experience

- Graduate / Postgraduate in any discipline (preferred: Retail, Management, Training, or Psychology).
- 710+ years of experience in retail training, preferably in baby care, beauty, fashion, lifestyle, or premium retail.
- Proven experience in setting up or scaling training frameworks in a startup or high-growth retail environment.
- Strong exposure to store launches, multi-city retail operations, and frontline capability building.
- Ability to work in ambiguity, move fast, and build processes from scratch.
