General Manager IT Infrastructure

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and vision-driven General Manager IT Infrastructure to oversee and modernise our enterprise IT environment. In this role, you will lead the strategic planning, architectural design, implementation, and operational management of our global IT infrastructure—including hybrid cloud, network enterprise architecture, data centres, cybersecurity alignment, and IT service management (ITSM).

As a senior leader, you will align IT infrastructure initiatives with overall business goals, ensure robust security and compliance, drive digital transformation, and manage high-value vendor relationships and CapEx/OpEx budgets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Digital Transformation

- Define and execute the end-to-end IT infrastructure strategy aligned with long-term business objectives.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives, including cloud adoption/migration (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid infrastructure optimization.
- Evaluate emerging technology trends (AI/ML automation, Edge Computing, Zero Trust Architecture) to modernize legacy systems and enhance operational efficiency.

2. Infrastructure Operations & Service Delivery

- Oversee multi-site data centres, enterprise networks (SD-WAN, LAN/WAN), cloud architectures, system administration, and end-user computing.
- Ensure high availability, performance, scalable capability, and maximum uptime across all critical enterprise applications and systems.
- Establish and enforce strict IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks based on ITIL best practices for Incident,



Problem, and Change Management.
- Drive automated monitoring, continuous integration, and proactive maintenance to maintain SLAs/OLAs.

3. Security, Governance & Compliance

- Partner closely with CISO/InfoSec teams to implement robust cybersecurity protocols, Zero Trust frameworks, and access management solutions.
- Ensure full compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, or local data privacy laws).
- Develop, maintain, and regularly test comprehensive Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies to guarantee zero data loss and business resilience.

4. Team Leadership & Talent Management

- Lead, mentor, and grow a multi-disciplinary team of network engineers, system administrators, cloud specialists, and DevOps talent.
- Build a culture of continuous learning, accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Define KPIs, OKRs, and performance metrics for internal teams and managed service providers (MSPs).

5. Financial Management & Vendor Governance

- Manage large-scale IT CapEx and OpEx budgets (ranging from multi-crore investments) with a focus on Cost Optimization (FinOps).
- Oversee strategic sourcing,



SLA negotiating, and performance management for major hardware, software, telecom, and cloud vendors.

Required Qualifications & Key Competencies

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree / MBA is preferred.
- senior leadership role (DGM/GM/Director level) managing large-scale enterprise IT infrastructure.
- Technical Expertise:

- Hands-on exposure to Hybrid/Multi-Cloud management (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Deep understanding of enterprise networking (Cisco, SD-WAN, Firewalls, VPNs) and Data Centre consolidation.
- Familiarity with DevOps pipelines, containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

- Certifications (Highly Desirable):

- ITIL v4 Master / Foundation
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect / Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- CISSP / CISM / CISA
- PMP / PRINCE2

- Leadership & Soft Skills:

- Exceptional executive stakeholder management and board-level communication skills.
- Strong business acumen and capability to bridge the gap between technical operations and business value.
- Proven crisis management skills with a calm, decisive approach during high-severity outages or security incidents.

Compensation & Advantages

- Salary Band: 45.00 LPA – 85.00 LPA (Fixed + Variable, commensurate with experience and organizational scale).
