Dy Manager/Manager Perceived Quality

Purpose

To enhance customer perception of vehicle quality by driving excellence in fit, finish, craftsmanship, appearance, functionality, and overall product experience throughout the product development, manufacturing, and launch lifecycle. Ensure vehicles meet and exceed customer expectations for visual, tactile, and operational quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Define, implement, and sustain Perceived Quality standards for vehicle interiors, exteriors, chassis, cabins, and customer touchpoints.
- Perform vehicle evaluations focusing on fit & finish, gap and flushness, craftsmanship, material quality, aesthetics, noise perception, and functional feel.
- Establish quality criteria and acceptance standards aligned with customer expectations and benchmark vehicles.
- Conduct comparative benchmarking studies against competitors to identify opportunities for quality enhancement.
- Collaborate with Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and Service teams to improve perceived quality attributes.
- Lead customer clinic evaluations, VOC (Voice of Customer) assessments, and product audits to capture quality perception insights.




- Drive closure of perceived quality concerns through structured problem-solving and cross-functional corrective action plans.
- Participate in current model development and launch reviews to ensure perceived quality targets are achieved before SOP (Start of Production).
- Monitor manufacturing processes affecting appearance quality, fitment, surface finish, and assembly consistency.
- Develop and maintain Perceived Quality scorecards, audit systems, and quality dashboards.
- Ensure implementation of best practices, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives across vehicle programs.
- Present perceived quality assessments, risk evaluations, and improvement recommendations to management.

Problem Solving & Risk Management

- Ensure containment actions, root cause analysis, and corrective actions using problem solving CORE tools methodologies.

Cross-Functional Leadership

- Collaborate with Product Development / Sourcing / Supplier Quality to ensure all corrective actions addressed right first time.

Qualifications & Experience

- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience: 6 ~ 9 years in Automotive/EV M&HCV; / LCV manufacturing environment.
