Job Summary

We are looking for Team Leader for Consultancy Services for Surat Metro Project.

Responsibilities

- Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the Accompanying Measures (AM) Unit, ensuring smooth coordination of all project activities.
- Work closely and report directly to the Project Director / Program Lead (Head of Consulting) of DB EC GmbH to ensure project objectives and contractual obligations are met.
- Coordinate kickoff, mobilization, and subsequent phases of the assignment, establishing roles and responsibilities in alignment to ToR and accountability among team members.
- Advise on implementation and monitoring of work plans and deliverables in line with client requirements and project objectives.
- Act as the primary interface between the Project Execution Agency (PEA - GMRC), KfW, DB EC GmbH, and other key stakeholders to ensure effective communication.
- Represent the project in all key meetings, consultations, workshops, and negotiations with the client and stakeholders.
- Supervise implementation of project activities, ensuring that milestones, timelines, and quality standards are consistently met.
- Oversee preparation of reports, documentation, compliance checks, and progress tracking, ensuring timely submission to the Client.
- Lead regular review meetings, risk and issue management sessions, and sessions to identify challenges, adjust plans, and drive consensus.
- Resolve conflicts or coordination issues within the AM team and with external stakeholders, ensuring smooth project delivery.
- Provide technical advice, policy guidance,



and quality assurance across all outputs and deliverables of the AM assignment.
- Liaise with the Client to secure timely approvals of deliverables and facilitate acceptance and processing of associated invoices.
- Ensure presence in Surat, as required, until completion of all project activities, maintaining responsiveness to Client and project needs.
- Maintain strong qualified relationships with Client, KfW and key stakeholders to foster trust, cooperation, and timely decision-making.
- Ensure effective program management, timely reporting, and overall delivery of services in accordance with the contract.

Qualifications

- Graduate in Transport Management / Engineering / Business Management or equivalent.
- At least 15 years international experience in coordination of multi-functional projects and activities in relation to public transport operations and management
- Project management experience with FC / MDB funded projects with a similar scale and scope leading large international, multidisciplinary teams
- Post-graduate in Transportation or certification in transport operations and Operational experience in public transport, preferably with managerial / executive responsibilities.
- Experience with supervision of institutional training programs
- Previous work experience in the Project Region
