Consultant Internal Audit (CA Freshers)

Location: Pune
Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) - Freshly Qualified
Experience: CA Freshers with Articleship experience in Internal Audit, Risk Advisory, IFC/SOX, Process Reviews, and Compliance Audits.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

- Execute internal audit assignments across various industries under the guidance of senior team members.
- Assist in identifying, assessing, and monitoring business risks and internal controls.
- Support process reviews and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and control effectiveness.
- Participate in risk assessments, internal control reviews, and compliance audits.
- Assist in documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Risk Control Matrices (RCMs), and audit reports.
- Support clients in evaluating compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Assist in testing internal controls and contributing to Internal Financial Controls (IFC) and SOX engagements.
- Prepare audit working papers, observations, recommendations, and management reports.
- Build professional relationships with client stakeholders and work effectively within engagement teams.
- Deliver assigned tasks within agreed timelines and quality standards.
- Participate in business development initiatives, research activities, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Preferred Industry Exposure During Articleship

Candidates with exposure to one or more of the following sectors will be preferred:

- Manufacturing
- Automotive




- Pharmaceuticals

- Real Estate
- Construction & Contracting
- Oil & Gas
- Industrial Projects

Technical Skills

- Understanding of Internal Audit, Risk Management, and Internal Controls.
- Basic knowledge of IFC and SOX frameworks.
- Familiarity with accounting standards and provisions of the Companies Act, 2013.
- Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and process documentation.
- Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Soft Skills

- Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage assigned tasks and meet deadlines.
- Professional attitude and strong attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and work in a client-facing environment.
- Open to travel across India and potentially to the Middle East based on project requirements.
