Expertbells connects Indian founders with operators who have already solved their problem. A founder picks a vetted mentor, books a 1:1 session, and leaves with a concrete next step. We are a small team, and each person here owns a real part of that loop.

About the role

Every session on Expertbells depends on a chain of backend work: a mentors calendar, a held slot, a payment, reminders, a video link and finally a payout. When any link breaks, a founder misses a call they were counting on.

You will own a large share of that chain. The services are Node and TypeScript on Postgres, with queues for anything that has to happen later.

What youll do

- Design and build APIs for scheduling, bookings, refunds and mentor payouts
- Integrate with calendar providers, payment gateways and messaging services
- Write background jobs for reminders, reconciliation and reporting




- Add monitoring and alerts so problems surface before users report them
- Take part in a light on-call rotation shared across engineering

You may be a fit if
- You have built and run backend services in production for 2+ years
- You are comfortable with SQL, schema design and database migrations
- You think about idempotency and retries when money is involved
- You write tests for the parts that would hurt most if they broke

Big plus
- Experience with time zones and recurring availability rules
- Familiarity with Indian payment rails such as UPI and GST invoicing
