Job Description

BOOKFORD PUBLICATIONS PRIVATE LIMITED is looking for an experienced, highly skilled, and responsible Head Accountant to lead and manage the company's accounting, taxation, financial reporting, and day-to-day financial operations.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, Income Tax, Busy accounting software, financial reconciliation, and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and supervise complete accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.
- Handle GST returns, TDS returns, Income Tax compliance, and other statutory filings.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, and Cash Flow Reports.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor payments, and customer reconciliations.
- Perform bank reconciliation, ledger scrutiny, and financial transaction verification.
- Handle e-commerce accounting, including Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, and other marketplace settlements.
- Monitor inventory accounting, purchase records, sales invoices, credit notes,



and debit notes.
- Coordinate with Chartered Accountants, auditors, banks, and taxation authorities.
- Supervise the accounting team and ensure timely completion of financial activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and government regulations.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce (B.Com / M.Com), CA Inter, or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a senior accounting role.
- Advanced proficiency in Tally Prime, MS Excel, and accounting software.
- Robust knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and financial reporting.
- Experience in e-commerce accounting and inventory management will be preferred.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently manage the company's complete accounting department.
