Role & Responsibilities

- Assess production requirements, resources, manpower, and capacity to meet business objectives.
- Plan, organize, and execute production schedules in line with sales forecasts and customer demand.
- Ensure smooth, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations to achieve production targets.
- Monitor and improve productivity, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), cycle time, and manufacturing costs.
- Identify and resolve production-related technical issues, manpower challenges, and operational bottlenecks.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, delivery schedules, workplace safety, and company procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and waste reduction.
- Coordinate with Quality, Stores, Purchase, Maintenance, and R&D; teams for smooth operations and new product launches.
- Ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of machines, tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures in coordination with the Maintenance team.
- Monitor and reduce rejection, rework, scrap, and production losses.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly production MIS reports to Top Management.
- Lead, guide,



and develop production supervisors, team leaders, and shop-floor operators.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Experience in production planning, shop-floor management, and execution within a manufacturing workplace, preferably automotive components.
- Strong understanding of production processes, manpower planning, capacity utilization, and productivity improvement.
- Experience in managing production lines, OEE, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement techniques.
- Ability to analyze production data, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams for NPD, product launches, and process improvements.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and team-management skills.
- Proficiency in production MIS, Excel, and manufacturing performance reporting.
