Job Description: Subject Matter Expert (SME) Image Data & Writing

About the Project:

The Role involves collecting images from publicly accessible sources across six domains, including patent drawings, medical and satellite imagery.

Each image must have relevant metadata and a clear, accurate written description to support AI training.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify and review relevant image sources for the assigned domain.
- Collect and assess image samples, metadata, captions, and related information.
- Write explicit and accurate descriptions for images.
- Review AI-generated descriptions and identify errors, repetitive content, or generic

wording.

- Rewrite or create descriptions from scratch wherever required to ensure quality and

accuracy.

- Check descriptions for grammar, clarity, completeness, and domain-specific

accuracy.

- Estimate data availability and recommend suitable sources for the project.




- Support the development of writing guidelines and quality standards.
- Flag potential licensing or source-access issues to the concerned team.

Required Skills:

- Strong subject matter expertise in the assigned domain.
- Excellent written English and strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong attention to detail and quality-checking skills.
- Good research and analytical skills.
- Comfortable working with online databases and spreadsheets.
- Familiarity with AI tools is an advantage.

Preferred Experience: Experience in content writing, technical writing, scientific writing, annotation, or quality control is preferred.

Ideal Candidate: Someone who can independently review image descriptions, Identify weak or repetitive AI-generated content, and rewrite it into clear, accurate, and client-ready descriptions.
