About the Role
Taxceed is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Senior Tax Accountant who can independently prepare accurate, complete, and review-ready U.
S. tax returns. Our clients are primarily business owners whose business and personal finances are closely connected. Accurate tax preparation is the foundation of our ability to help them reduce taxes, avoid costly mistakes, and make better financial decisions. Your mission is to own the preparation of assigned tax returns from start to finish, including reviewing financial information, reconciling accounting records, applying tax law, investigating discrepancies, and delivering complete work ready for final review. We're not looking for someone who simply enters numbers into tax software. We need someone who understands the accounting behind the return, thinks critically, catches their own mistakes, and takes responsibility for getting the work done. This is an ownership role. You are expected to work independently, communicate proactively, and continuously improve the quality and efficiency of your work. The Three Outcomes You'll Own ‍1. Accurate Tax Returns: Independently prepare federal and state individual and business tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1120-S, and 1065. Every return should be complete, technically accurate, and supported by organized workpapers. ‍2. Review-Ready Work: Reconcile financial statements, prepare book-to-tax adjustments, investigate discrepancies, and thoroughly review your own work before submission. The goal is minimal corrections during final review. ‍3. Reliable Execution: Manage assigned work, identify missing information early, communicate blockers, meet deadlines, and resolve review comments. Work should move forward without constant follow-up or supervision.

and potential errors ● Research tax questions using authoritative sources and document conclusions ● Identify potential tax planning opportunities and escalate material issues ● Maintain clear, complete workpapers and follow standardized preparation checklists ‍Execution & Continuous Improvement ● Manage assigned returns through preparation, review, and filing readiness ● Maintain accurate task statuses and deadlines in Karbon ● Communicate progress, questions, and blockers proactively ● Resolve review comments promptly and completely ● Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate recurring work ● Use modern technology and AI tools responsibly while independently verifying accuracy Qualifications Required ● 4+ years of hands-on U.

S. tax preparation softwareStrong analytical skills, technical judgment, and attention to detail ● Ability to investigate and resolve routine tax issues independently ● Excellent written and verbal English communication skills ● Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines, take ownership, and deliver accurate work without close supervision We value demonstrated ability and judgment more than credentials or years of experience alone. Preferred ● CPA, Enrolled Agent, or equivalent professional qualification ● Experience with Intuit ProConnect Tax Online ● Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Excel or Google Sheets ● Familiarity with Karbon or similar practice management software ● Experience with multi-state returns, real estate taxation, and closely held businesses ● Experience working remotely with a U.
S.-based CPA firm ● Familiarity with tax research, automation, and AI-assisted workflows This Role Is Not ● A data-entry position: You must understand the numbers and tax treatment, not simply populate forms. ● A junior preparer role: You must independently complete routine and moderately complex returns. ● A role where the reviewer finishes your work: You are responsible for reconciling, documenting,

and checking your work before submission. ● A passive execution role: You must identify problems, communicate proactively, and follow through without repeated reminders. The Type of Person You take pride in producing accurate, complete work. When numbers don't reconcile, you investigate. When information is missing, you identify the gap. When tax treatment is unclear, you research it. You don't confuse activity with progress. You prioritize finishing work, closing open items, and delivering results. You're comfortable with technology, open to feedback, and always looking for better ways to work. Most importantly, you take ownership. When you say a return is ready, the team can trust that it has been properly prepared, reconciled, and reviewed. How Success Is Measured ● Returns completed accurately and within agreed deadlines ● Complete workpapers and required reconciliations for every return ● Minimal preparation-related corrections during final review ● No recurring preventable errors after feedback ● Missing information and technical issues identified early ● Review comments resolved promptly ● Accurate task statuses and proactive communication ● Increasing independence, efficiency, and productivity without sacrificing quality Success means we can confidently assign you a return and trust you to deliver a complete, accurate, review-ready product without constant oversight. How We Work ● Fully remote ● Core hours 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern Time ● Regular collaboration with our global team ● Standardized workpapers, checklists, and quality control procedures ● Modern tax software, QuickBooks Online, and Karbon
