MM CPA Services is a high-growth, startup Tax and Accounting CPA firm headquartered in Houston, Texas. We serve clients across several US states, specializing in tax preparation, bookkeeping, IRS audit assistance, payroll, and tax planning. As we expand our offshore operations in Hyderabad, we are looking for dedicated accounting professionals to join our team and grow with us.

Role Description

This is a full time, on-site role for a US Accounting Analyst based at our Hyderabad office. You will own the day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of US-based small and mid-sized business clients – categorizing transactions, managing A/R and A/P, reconciling accounts, supporting payroll where assigned, and helping deliver clean monthly financial statements. You will work directly with our US team and clients and report to the Senior Analyst.

Key Responsibilities

- Categorize daily transactions across bank, credit card, and merchant accounts in QuickBooks Online with proper GL coding and documentation.
- Manage Accounts Receivable: customer invoicing, payment application, and aging follow-ups.
- Manage Accounts Payable: vendor bill entry, 1099 vendor tracking, and timely payment runs.
- Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the monthly close: book recurring journal entries (prepaids, depreciation, accruals) and prepare draft P&L; and balance sheet for review.
- Support US payroll runs in QuickBooks Online Payroll, ADP, or Gusto (where assigned): timesheet review, new hire setup, garnishments, and reconciliation of payroll to GL.
- Maintain organized client files in TaxDome and respond to client requests through approved firm channels within firm SLAs.
- Coordinate with the US Tax team to ensure books are tax-ready for individual (1040 Sch C), partnership (1065), and S-Corp (1120-S) filings.

Mandatory Qualifications

- Software: Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online is mandatory; QuickBooks Desktop and TaxDome familiarity is a plus.




- Accounting Foundation: Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting basics – chart of accounts, accrual vs. cash, debits/credits, and standard month-end close.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on US accounting / bookkeeping experience in QuickBooks Online (offshore engagement preferred). Freshers will not be considered.
- Education: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance), or CA / CMA (Inter).
- Communication: Strong written and verbal English skills for direct collaboration with US-based clients and our Houston team.
- Mindset: High attention to detail, organized, deadline-driven, and able to work effectively with minimal oversight.
- Shift: Permanent commitment to the 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM IST shift.
- Stability & Long-Term Commitment: Stable employment history and a commitment to building a long-term career with MM CPA. Candidates with frequent job changes (job hoppers) will not be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

- Payroll Exposure (preferred, not mandatory): Working knowledge of US payroll concepts (gross-to-net, payroll tax) and hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online Payroll, ADP, or Gusto.
