We serve clients across several US states, specializing in tax preparation, bookkeeping, payroll, and tax planning. As we expand our offshore operations in Hyderabad, we are looking for dedicated accounting professionals to join our team and grow with us.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site leadership role based at our Hyderabad office. As a Senior US Accounting Analyst, you will lead and review the work of our US Accounting Analysts, own a portfolio of US-based small and mid-sized business clients end to end, and serve as the first level of review before financials reach our US team. You will work directly with our US team and clients and report to firm leadership in Houston.

Key Responsibilities

- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor US Accounting Analysts; assign client work and track deadlines in TaxDome.
- Quality Review: Review transaction categorization, reconciliations, and journal entries prepared by the team before month-end close.
- Month-End Close: Own the full monthly close for assigned clients and deliver review-ready P&L;, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
- Cleanup & Catch-Up: Lead QuickBooks cleanup and catch-up projects, including historical reconciliations, opening balance corrections, and chart of accounts restructuring.
- Client Onboarding: Set up new client files in QuickBooks Online – chart of accounts, bank feeds, bank rules, classes/locations, and third-party integrations.
- Payroll Oversight: Review payroll runs and reconcile payroll liabilities in QuickBooks Online Payroll, ADP, or Gusto.




- Year-End & Tax Support: Prepare year-end workpapers and 1099 vendor reporting, and make sure books are tax-ready for individual (1040 Sch C), partnership (1065), and S-Corp (1120-S) filings in coordination with the US Tax team.
- Process Improvement: Build and maintain SOPs, close checklists, and review templates for the Hyderabad accounting team.
- Client Communication: Respond to client questions and follow up on missing information through approved firm channels within firm SLAs.

Mandatory Qualifications

- Experience: Minimum 4 years of hands-on US accounting experience in QuickBooks Online for US-based clients. Freshers and junior candidates will not be considered.
- Leadership: At least 1 year of experience reviewing the work of, training, or supervising junior accounting staff.
- Technical Depth: Strong command of US GAAP, accrual accounting, month-end close, and reconciliations, including complex cleanup and catch-up work.
- Education: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance), or CA / CMA (Inter or Final).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal English; comfortable leading calls with US clients and our Houston team.
- Mindset: Solid ownership, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple client deadlines with minimal oversight.
- Shift:



Permanent commitment to the 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM IST shift.
- Stability & Long-Term Commitment: Stable employment history and a commitment to building a long-term career with MM CPA. Candidates with frequent job changes (job hoppers) will not be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

- Payroll Experience: Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online Payroll, ADP, or Gusto, including payroll liability reconciliation.
- Certification: QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification (Advanced preferred).
- Additional Tools: QuickBooks Desktop, TaxDome, and common QBO integrations (BILL, Expensify, Stripe, Shopify).
- Sales Tax: Familiarity with US sales tax filings
