What We’re Looking For

MBA (Operations/Supply Chain preferred).

Experience in Procurement/Strategic Sourcing, with significant exposure to IT and technology categories.

Prior experience leading a procurement/sourcing team.

Proven experience negotiating software, SaaS and cloud contracts.

Strong category management, contract negotiation and vendor management skills; Advanced Excel and comfort with procurement/ERP tools.

Strongly Preferred:

Experience in an IT product, SaaS or technology company.

Familiarity with cloud commercial constructs (AWS/Azure/OCI/GCP), software licensing models, hotel/venue contracting, insurance/benefits landscape, and vendor risk/data-security assessments.

Your Impact at Tally

1. Procurement Strategy & Planning

Own procurement strategy across IT hardware, software/SaaS, cloud and qualified services.

Define the annual procurement plan, aligning sourcing with growth, cost optimisation and vendor-risk objectives.

Build should-cost models and market intelligence to inform sourcing strategy and negotiation levers.

Partner with Finance and business leaders to align procurement priorities with budget, OPEX and CAPEX targets.

2. Sourcing & Vendor Management





Lead end-to-end sourcing for strategic and high-value vendor relationships.

Source hotel/venue partners for company events and manage insurer/broker sourcing for benefits and liability renewals.

Build and manage a preferred vendor ecosystem; run structured performance reviews (SLAs, quality, delivery, commercials).

Identify and mitigate vendor concentration and supply risk.

3. Contract Negotiation & Cost Management

Own commercial negotiations for software, SaaS, cloud, hardware and services agreements.

Negotiate hotel/venue and insurance renewal contracts, securing favourable rates and terms.

Drive cost savings and avoidance through negotiation, demand management and contract restructuring.

Partner with Legal on MSAs, SOWs and NDAs; track savings, renewals and contract lifecycle.

4. Category Management

Own category strategies: IT hardware, software/SaaS, cloud, telecom, professional/staffing services, events & hospitality, and insurance & employee benefits.

Track total cost of ownership (TCO) and rationalise overlapping tools and vendors.

Stay ahead of market trends, pricing benchmarks and licensing models.

5. Process, Systems & Compliance

Build and strengthen procurement policies, approval workflows and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.

Drive adoption of procurement tools for PR-PO management, vendor onboarding and spend visibility.

Ensure compliance with statutory, audit, data-security and vendor-risk requirements; maintain a single source of truth for contracts and spend.

6. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

Lead and build the procurement team, with category owners/executives/analysts reporting into this role.

Set team structure, goals and KPIs (savings, TAT/SLA, category coverage); own hiring, mentoring and capability-building.

Partner with IS, Engineering, Finance, Legal and Business leaders; act as trusted advisor on buy-vs-build and vendor decisions.
