What We’re Looking For

CA / MBA from a Tier 1 institute (Finance specialisation preferred).

5–7 years in FP&A;, with proven ownership of the planning and reporting cycle.

Strong experience in financial modelling, forecasting, management reporting and analytics skills.

Advanced Excel and strong PowerPoint / presentation skills. Also, comfortable to work with BI or planning too.

Experience in software product companies or tech-enabled startups.

Familiarity with SaaS metrics (ARR, churn, NRR, CAC, LTV) and planning/BI platforms.

Your Impact at Tally

1. Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting

- Own the AOP, monthly/quarterly and rolling forecasts across the company / business functions.
- Drive a structured, assumption-led planning process linking financial targets to operational drivers.




- Build driver-based forecasting models and stress-test assumptions to keep plans realistic and defensible.

2. Management Reporting & Business Insights

- Own monthly MIS, dashboards and leadership reporting packs — delivering insights, not just numbers.
- Track performance vs. plan, run variance/root-cause analysis, and flag risks and opportunities early.
- Lead monthly/quarterly business reviews covering performance, key drivers and forward-looking recommendations.

3. Financial Modelling & Decision Support

- Build and own models for revenue, cost, headcount and profitability planning.
- Run scenario/sensitivity analysis and evaluate investments (NPV, payback, ROI, unit economics).
- Provide ad-hoc analytical support for strategic, pricing and resource-allocation decisions.

4. Cost & Margin Management

- Drive cost visibility and efficiency analytics across functions and spend categories.
- Partner with budget owners to track spend and leakage, and build the analytical backbone for margin improvement.

5. Process, Systems & Data Rigour

- Strengthen FP&A; models, templates, dashboards and reporting cadence.
- Drive automation, standardisation and data integrity for a single source of truth.

6. Stakeholder Management & Communication

- Partner with business and finance leaders to align numbers with strategy.
- Convert complex analysis into clear, compelling narratives and presentations for leadership.
- Manage senior stakeholders with data-backed reasoning and presence.
