Role Description The Senior Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad. This position is responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining electrical and instrumentation systems for extrusion and packaging machinery, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with applicable standards. Daily activities include diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation issues, calibrating and configuring process control instruments, and optimizing system performance to support efficient plant operations.

The engineer collaborates closely with design, production, and service teams to support commissioning of new equipment, implement upgrades,



and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians. The role also involves preparing documentation, supporting preventive maintenance plans, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in electrical and control systems.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering and Electricity, with experience in industrial machinery or manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on expertise in Instrumentation and Process Control for automated systems, including configuration, calibration, and monitoring.
- Advanced Troubleshooting skills for electrical and instrumentation faults, including root-cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline; postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Knowledge of relevant standards, safety regulations, and best practices for industrial electrical installations and control systems.
- Experience with PLCs, drives, sensors, control panels, and associated software tools used in process automation.
- Ability to read and develop electrical drawings, P&IDs;, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Strong analytical, communication, and team collaboration skills, with the ability to mentor and support junior team members.
- Willingness to work on-site in Ahmedabad and support occasional customer site visits or commissioning activities as needed.
