ABOUT THE PROJECT

Smart Vayu is a mobile, near real-time air quality source apportionment initiative of CoE ATMAN, IIT Kanpur. The Project Technician keeps the project’s field instruments and mobile monitoring setup running across Ahmedabad.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

- Based in Ahmedabad
- Open to shift duty and field work within the city
- Valid driving licence and own two-wheeler (required)

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE (any one of the following)

- 3-year Engineering Diploma + 4 years of relevant experience, OR
- High School + ITI + 9 years of relevant experience

AREAS OF EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and allied trades.

NATURE OF WORK

- Undertake field visits across Ahmedabad as per project requirement.
- Sound knowledge of electronics/electrical work such as wire assembling, error correction and soldering.
- Sound knowledge of mechanical work such as drilling and cutting.




- Support laboratory-related activities when not in the field.
- Be ready to undertake any other task assigned by the supervisor.

DESIRABLE The candidate should be honest and sincere and ready to undertake field work.

NATURE OF POSITION

Temporary / Contractual

CONSOLIDATED SALARY

INR 18000-1500-45000 per month. Salary shall be commensurate with experience and skills.

OTHER PERKS

Medical: only OPD facility for self is available at the Health Centre of IIT Kanpur, without reimbursement of the cost of medicines. Any outside referral shall not be reimbursed. A medical booklet will be provided on request.
