CloudLex - The Legal Cloud

Pune

Product Analyst - AI PlatformPune, India · Work from office · Reports directly to the CTO · CloudLex

About CloudLexCloudLex is a leading cloud based legal technology platform for litigation firms in the United States. Attorneys, paralegals, and case managers use it every day to run complex cases from beginning to end. Headquartered in New York, with engineering, product, and marketing in Pune, India. Reaching 300 professionals globally. Backed by prestigious venture capital and growth private equity, including Aligned Capital, Rosepark Advisors, and The Riverside Company.

The Role

You work directly with our Chief Technology Officer, and you are the person who makes product development run.

You will be on client calls, sales calls, and customer success calls, hearing what law firms in the United States actually need rather than reading somebody’s summary of it. You turn what you hear into the product roadmap and the development plan. You track what is being built, hold the priorities when everything is urgent, and you are the person who can say at any moment what is coming next, what it depends on, and why it is in that order.

Think of it as being the champion of product development from the management side. The engineers build. You make sure the right things get built, in the right order, for reasons the whole company can see.

Work with the CTO

- Build and maintain the product roadmap and keep it current
- Turn the roadmap into development plans engineering can actually work from
- Track what is in flight: what is on time, what has slipped, what is blocked and on whom

- Hold the priority when everything is urgent, and be able to defend why something did not make it

Be in the room with clients

- Join client calls, sales, and customer success calls, and listen for the problem underneath the request
- Work with the Customer Success and Sales in the United States as a direct partner, not through a relay
- Turn what clients tell you into clear needs, with the reasoning attached so engineering knows why
- Say when something should not be built, and say it to the person who asked for it

Articulate the development path

- Make it clear across the company what is being built, when, and why, so nobody has to ask
- Define what the software does in the normal case and in every case that is not normal
- For AI features, define what the user sees, what gets cited, where a person reviews before anything is final, and what happens when the model is wrong
- Work with design on how it should feel, not only on what it should do

Use AI as your main instrument

- Analyze usage data, support tickets, and call transcripts at volume using AI, then verify what it told you
- Draft with AI and then interrogate what it produced,

because a confident answer and a correct answer look the same
- Build evaluation sets that prove an AI feature is accurate before it reaches a real case file
- Know what these tools are bad at and stop using them there

What we need from you

- We care about how you reason, not what your degree says
- 3-5 years in a role where you had a say in what got built, not only in documenting it
- Experience as a product owner or product champion, meaning you owned what got built and why. Running the backlog and the ceremonies around it is not the same thing and does not count here
- Any background. Engineering, an MBA in IT or systems, economics, statistics, consulting.
- Comfort being client facing. You will be on calls with US cients/teams

- Daily, practical use of AI tools in your own analytical work. Not awareness. Use
- Comfort with data. You do not need SQL. You do need to be the kind of person who asks for the numbers before forming a view, and who can get to them with whatever tools are available
- Written clarity. Much of your work reaches people in another country who cannot ask you a follow-up question in the corridor
- The confidence to hold a position with a senior stakeholder who disagrees with you

Practical, not required

- Enterprise or B2B software, especially where the users are professionals whose work carries real consequences
- Exposure to AI products and what goes wrong with them
- Experience working across time zones
- No legal background needed. We will teach you the domain.
