Role Description The Engineering Specialist (part-time, remote) supports marine and offshore engineering activities for chartered vessels and related assets. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing technical documentation, performing engineering analyses, and supporting the development and optimization of mechanical and manufacturing solutions for vessel operations. The role involves contributing to project planning, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and preparing transparent technical reports and communications for internal and external stakeholders.

The Engineering

Specialist will assist in troubleshooting operational issues, supporting risk assessments, and ensuring technical compliance with relevant standards and procedures. This remote position requires effective collaboration through digital tools and a structured approach to managing part-time workload across multiple projects.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering skills, preferably with experience in maritime or offshore environments.




- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret technical data, perform calculations, and support engineering decision-making.
- Candidates should possess effective Project Management skills to plan tasks, track progress, and coordinate with distributed teams in a part-time setting.
- Candidates should possess clear, professional Communication skills for producing technical documentation, reports, and participating in remote meetings.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related technical discipline are highly beneficial.
- Experience with engineering software tools, CAD systems, or analysis packages used in mechanical and marine applications is an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage part-time hours reliably, and collaborate effectively in a remote, multicultural environment is preferred.
