Role Description The Chef Commi role at Barbeque Nation Indian Grill is a full-time, on-site position located in Patna.

The Chef

Commi will assist senior chefs in daily food preparation, including cutting, marinating, and cooking dishes according to standardized recipes and brand guidelines.

Responsibilities include maintaining kitchen hygiene, setting up and replenishing stations, supporting grilling and buffet arrangements, and ensuring food quality and presentation standards are met. The role also involves coordinating with team members and service staff to deliver orders efficiently, following safety procedures,



and helping with inventory checks and basic kitchen organization.

The Chef

Commi is expected to follow instructions from the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef while actively learning new culinary techniques and menu items.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Food Preparation and basic Cooking techniques, with developing Culinary Skills suitable for a skilled kitchen.
- Commitment to strict Hygiene standards, including food safety, cleanliness, and personal grooming in accordance with health regulations.
- Effective Communication skills to coordinate with kitchen team members and service staff in a busy, guest-focused environment.
- Ability to work in shifts, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
- Prior experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is preferred; formal culinary training or certification is an advantage.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and a willingness to learn and follow established recipes and procedures.
- Basic understanding of kitchen equipment operation and safety practices.
