Architect – Interior Design

Employment: Full-time | On-site

Salary: ₹20,000–₹35,000 per month, based on experience, portfolio and role fit.

ABOUT DREAMSPACE SOLUTIONS

Dreamspace Solutions delivers residential and commercial interiors with in-house modular furniture production. We are looking for an Architect focused on interior design who can develop practical designs, communicate confidently with clients and coordinate vendors, factory teams and site execution.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Take responsibility for assigned interior projects from understanding the client brief through design development, approvals, coordination and handover. This role combines design work with direct client handling and vendor coordination.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and technical documentation

- Understand client requirements, budgets, lifestyle or business needs and site conditions.
- Carry out site visits and measurements; prepare space plans, furniture layouts, concepts and design presentations.
- Develop 2D working drawings, elevations, sections, joinery details and 3D views using suitable design software.
- Specify materials, laminates, finishes, hardware, lighting and other interior elements.
- Prepare quantities, BOQs and estimation inputs; coordinate costs with management before commitments are made.
- Maintain accurate drawing revisions and ensure the factory and site teams receive approved, up-to-date information.

Client handling

- Lead design discussions and explain layouts, materials, finishes, costs and execution implications clearly.
- Present designs, gather feedback and obtain documented approvals before production or site execution.
- Keep clients informed of progress, pending decisions,



scope changes and project timelines.
- Record meeting notes and approvals; escalate issues early and coordinate practical solutions.

Vendor, factory and site coordination
- Coordinate with material suppliers, vendors, contractors, carpenters, factory staff and installation teams.
- Communicate approved drawings, specifications, quantities, quality expectations and delivery requirements.
- Follow up on quotations, samples, procurement and deliveries; help resolve material or execution issues.
- Check site work against approved drawings and finishes; identify defects and track corrective work.
- Support snag checks, final finishing and project handover.
- Track assigned deadlines and provide clear project updates to management.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

- B.Arch or an equivalent architecture qualification.
- A portfolio demonstrating interior space planning, detailing and design presentation.
- Relevant residential or commercial interior project experience is preferred.
- Working proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp or equivalent 2D/3D design tools; rendering skills are an advantage.
- Understanding of modular kitchens, wardrobes, furniture, materials, hardware and practical installation details.
- Robust communication, presentation, client-handling and vendor-coordination skills.
- Ability to manage revisions, follow up consistently and take ownership of assigned work.
- Willingness to work on-site in Coimbatore and attend client, vendor and project-site meetings as required.
