About Metafab Industries Metafab Industries Pvt. Ltd. makes sheet metal stamping components and assemblies for the automotive industry. The plant runs mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic presses, laser cutting, shearing, and spot and MIG welding lines, with strong support from the tool room and utilities. Role overview We’re looking for a Head of Maintenance to own the reliability and uptime of all plant machinery and utilities. You’ll lead the maintenance team, build a planned-maintenance culture, and make sure production runs safely with as little downtime as possible. Equipment in scope
• Mechanical power presses, hydraulic presses and pneumatic presses
• Spot welding machines and MIG welding machines
• Laser cutting machine and shearing machine
• EOT cranes and material handling equipment
• Air compressors, air lines, electrical panels, DG/utilities
• Lathe machines and other tool room / general machines

Key responsibilities
• Plan and run preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance for all plant equipment
• Prepare the annual PM calendar and make sure it’s followed; keep history cards and checklists for each machine
• Cut downtime by tracking MTTR, MTBF, machine availability and OEE, and hitting the targets
• Lead root cause analysis (Why-Why, Fishbone) and CAPA on repeat and major breakdowns
• Drive TPM, autonomous maintenance with operators, 5S and Kaizen on the shop floor
• Troubleshoot presses, including clutch-brake, crank and slide, parallelism, hydraulic power packs,



pneumatic circuits and PLC/electrical controls
• Maintain spot welding systems (transformers, electrodes, cooling) and MIG welding equipment
• Look after laser cutting machines, either directly or through the OEM service contract, plus shearing machines
• Manage critical spares, set minimum and maximum stock levels, develop vendors and keep AMCs running
• Prepare and control the maintenance budget; drive savings on power and compressed air
• Ensure statutory compliance and safety, including EOT crane load testing, compressor and pressure vessel inspection, electrical safety and LOTO
• Support installation and commissioning of new machines and plant expansion
• Meet IATF 16949 / ISO audit requirements for maintenance documentation
• Lead, train and develop the maintenance team across shifts Requirements

Tech or Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electromechanical Engineering
• [12–18] years of maintenance experience, with at least [5] years leading a team in a press shop, sheet metal stamping or auto-component plant
• Solid hands-on knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic presses, pneumatics, welding machines and electrical / PLC systems
• Working knowledge of TPM, RCA tools and maintenance KPIs
• Exposure to CMMS / ERP-based maintenance (SAP PM) is preferred
• Good leadership, communication and vendor-management skills; willing to support breakdowns outside normal hours
