Key Responsibilities
• Lead the Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) functions across the manufacturing plant.
• Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) in line with automotive industry standards.
• Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements, regulatory standards, and internal quality procedures.
• Handle customer complaints, warranty issues, and lead root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and CAPA methodologies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, improve process capability, and enhance product quality.
• Lead internal audits, supplier audits, process audits, and customer audits.
• Monitor quality KPIs such as PPM, COPQ, rejection rates, and customer satisfaction metrics.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality issues.
• Develop and mentor the quality team while promoting a culture of quality excellence.
• Manage supplier quality performance and support new product development (APQP/PPAP).
• Ensure compliance with IATF , ISO 9001, and customer-specific quality requirements.
Skills Required
• Robust knowledge of IATF , ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and Control Plans.
• Hands-on experience in Automotive Components and Press Stamp/Sheet Metal Manufacturing.
• Expertise in quality tools such as 8D, 7 QC Tools, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and CAPA.
• Strong understanding of GD&T;, engineering drawings,
measuring instruments, and inspection techniques.
• Experience in customer handling, supplier quality management, and audit management.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership, team management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
Preferred Qualification
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt) or Lead Auditor (preferred).
