Electrical Technician Production Equipment Support Job Description/: Responsibilities/: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, routine inspections, and cleaning of electrical control panels, switchgears, sub/-stations, electric motors, and utility equipment.
Troubleshoot shift/-level electrical breakdowns, trace control circuits, replace blown fuses, faulty relays, worn contactors, damaged wiring, and defective sensors. Install, wire, and connect electrical components, junction boxes, cable trays, conduits, VFDs, soft starters, and motor control centers /(MCC/) based on electrical schematics.
Assist engineers in inspecting and testing high/-voltage/low/-voltage distribution boards, power transformers, circuit breakers, and backup generator /(DG/) systems. Use electrical testing instruments such as digital multimeters, clamp meters, insulation resistance testers /(Megger/), and phase rotation meters to diagnose voltage, current, and grounding issues.

Document completed work orders,



parts replaced, downtime root causes, and daily shift logs in the Computerized Maintenance Management System /(CMMS/) or physical maintenance books.
