Machinery Maintenance Engineer Plant Reliability Job Description Experience/: 0 to 3 yrs Salary/: Based on Company Norms Education/: Diploma/BE in Mech Location/: In And Around Chennai Your Duties/: Plan, execute, and monitor preventive /(PM/), predictive /(PdM/), and breakdown maintenance across mechanical equipment, including CNC/VMC machines, heavy presses, gearboxes, pumps, compressors, conveyors, and utility piping.
Perform rapid fault diagnosis and repair on hydraulic and pneumatic systems, proportional/servo valves, cylinders, mechanical drives, bearings, shafts, and power transmission assemblies. Drive Condition/-Based Monitoring /(CBM/) programs using vibration analysis, thermography, energetic balancing, and oil lubrication testing to identify mechanical wear prior to catastrophic failure.
Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis /(RCFA/) for major mechanical breakdowns, implementing robust engineering countermeasures to improve Mean Time Between Failures /(MTBF/) and reduce Mean Time to Repair /(MTTR/).



Manage spare parts inventory for critical mechanical components such as mechanical seals, bearings, couplings, hydraulic fittings, belts, and valves to maintain minimal repair lead times.
Partner with Tool Room and Fabrication teams for machine modifications, structural repairs, fixture alignment, and precision mechanical alignment /(laser shaft alignment/).
