– Accountant (India Office)

The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations. This role involves handling day-to-day accounting functions, supporting financial analysis, and maintaining accurate financial documentation while delivering high-quality outputs.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage general ledger activities and account reconciliations
Prepare monthly financial statements and other financial reports.
Assist with GST returns including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B and the related reconciliations, and input tax credit verification.
Reconcile TDS calculations, deductions, payments, and returns prepared by external provider.
Support the global payroll team with monthly payroll and the related payroll statutory compliances
Assist in income tax computations and filing requirements.
Maintain compliance with applicable Indian accounting and taxation regulations.
Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and statutory authorities.
Monitor bank transactions and cash balances.




Coordinate with banks regarding account statements and payment issues.
Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting
Monitor financial transactions and resolve discrepancies
Support month-end and year-end closing processes
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or an equivalent qualification.
M.Com, MBA in Finance, or skilled qualifications such as CA, CMA, or ACCA is an advantage
Minimum 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
Relevant practical experience in accounting and taxation.
Solid knowledge of accounting principles and standards
Working knowledge of Indian GST, TDS, and income tax procedures.
Exposure to tax preparation and statutory compliance
Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, Xero or similar)
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
Robust analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail
Valuable communication and organizational skills
