Role Overview

We are looking for a

Java Backend Engineer with 4–6 years of experience to design, develop, and scale high-performance backend services for fraud detection and prevention platforms

.

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable

Java/Spring Boot microservices for high-volume transactions.
Build

REST APIs and event-driven services using

Apache Kafka

.
Design and deploy applications on

AWS

.
Work with

MySQL/PostgreSQL

, including data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.
Participate in system design, architecture discussions, code reviews, and pair programming.
Own the end-to-end development lifecycle including development, testing, deployment, and production support.
Ensure solutions meet security, reliability, scalability, and compliance standards.
Troubleshoot production issues and improve application performance and resiliency.
Collaborate with product, architecture, DevOps/SRE, and other engineering teams.

Must-Have Skills
4–6 years of backend software development experience.
Robust hands-on experience with

Java and Spring Boot

.
Solid experience in





Microservices and REST API development

.
Hands-on experience with

Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture.
Experience with

AWS cloud services.
Solid experience with

MySQL and/or PostgreSQL

.
Positive understanding of distributed systems, scalability, resiliency, and performance optimization

.
Experience with

JUnit/Mockito, Git, CI/CD

, and production troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of secure coding and software development best practices.

Docker and Kubernetes
AWS ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, CloudWatch
Redis / Elasticsearch
Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
Jenkins / GitHub Actions / GitLab CI

Experience in payments, financial services, fraud detection, or other high-volume transaction platforms
Knowledge of

Python or other server-side languages

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related technical field.
