About the Role

You will own the Controllership function's monthly close, accounting accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness. You will lead a small team and work closely with Finance, Tax, Treasury, and Business leaders.

Key Responsibilities
Own the monthly, quarter-end, and year-end close; deliver on timelines and quality
Review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and prepaid adjustments prepared by the team
Drive balance sheet reconciliations (bank, vendor, customer, intercompany, wallet/payment gateway) and transparent ageing items
Review financial statements and MIS reports; explain key variances to leadership
Lead statutory, internal, and tax audits: manage schedules, auditor queries, and closure of findings
Ensure compliance with Ind AS, GST, TDS, and the Companies Act
Own revenue accounting and reconciliation for travel bookings (air, hotel, etc.)
Set and strengthen internal controls (IFC/ICFR); flag and fix process gaps
Partner with Tax, AP, AR, FP&A;, and Business Finance to resolve complex accounting issues




Evaluate accounting treatment for recent products, contracts, and business models
Lead process improvement and automation projects
Mentor and review the work of Senior Executives and Executives

Requirements

Area Requirement

Qualification CA (mandatory)

Experience 2–4 years post-qualification in Controllership, Financial Reporting, or Audit

Technical Robust knowledge of Ind AS, GST, TDS, and the Companies Act

Tools Advanced Excel; ERP exposure (SAP/Oracle)

Good to Have
Experience in a Big 4 or mid-size firm, or an industry Controllership role
Exposure to travel, e-commerce, or fintech
Working knowledge of Power BI, SQL, or macros
Experience with audit management and finance automation
