Monitor the surgical wound for bleeding, infection, or delayed healing.
Administer prescribed medications, including pain relievers and antibiotics, as directed.
Educate the patient and family about wound care, medication use, and follow-up appointments.
Encourage early mobilization and assist with safe movement to prevent complications.
Observe for postoperative complications such as fever, swelling, breathing difficulty, or excessive pain.
Maintain proper hygiene and ensure a clean, secure home workplace for recovery.
Promote adequate nutrition and hydration to support healing.
Provide emotional support and encourage the patient to express concerns during recovery.
Document all assessments, nursing interventions, patient progress, and communicate changes to the healthcare team promptly.
