Job Title: Purchase Officer

:

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Purchase Officer to manage procurement activities, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure the timely availability of materials required for electrical projects and manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
Identify and evaluate suppliers for materials, equipment, and services.
Obtain quotations from multiple vendors, compare prices, and negotiate the best rates and payment terms.
Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) based on approved requirements.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Follow up on pending orders and resolve delivery delays.
Coordinate with the stores, production, and project teams to understand material requirements.
Monitor stock availability and arrange procurement to avoid material shortages.
Verify purchase invoices against purchase orders and delivery documents.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier quotations, invoices, and delivery schedules.
Develop and maintain valuable relationships with existing and potential suppliers.




Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising material quality.
Coordinate with the accounts department regarding supplier payments and outstanding balances.
Handle urgent purchase requirements and arrange materials according to project and production priorities.

Qualifications & Requirements
Qualification: Diploma or Degree in any relevant discipline.
Experience: 0 -2 years experience
Knowledge of electrical materials, components, and equipment is an advantage.
Good negotiation and vendor management skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel and basic computer applications.
Ability to maintain purchase records and prepare comparative statements.
Valuable communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and meet procurement deadlines.

Industry: Transformer Manufacturing Nature of Work: Vendor sourcing, quotation comparison, price negotiation, purchase order preparation, material procurement, supplier coordination, and delivery follow-up.
