We are looking for a skilled and responsible Phlebotomist to collect blood samples from patients safely and accurately, follow infection-control protocols, and ensure proper labelling and handling of specimens.
Key Responsibilities
Collect blood samples through venipuncture and other approved techniques.
Verify patient identity and label samples accurately.
Follow hygiene, sterilisation, and infection-control protocols.
Handle, store, and transport samples according to laboratory guidelines.
Maintain patient records and sample collection logs.
Provide courteous support to patients and help minimise discomfort.
Ensure proper disposal of needles and biomedical waste.
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or certification in Phlebotomy, Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT), or a relevant field.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
Good knowledge of venipuncture, specimen handling, and infection control.
Strong communication skills and a patient-focused approach.
Ability to maintain accurate records and follow hospital protocols.
