Key Responsibilities:
Edit and proofread Science content (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) for childrens books (K–8).
Ensure content accuracy, age-appropriate language, and conceptual clarity.
Align manuscripts with latest NCERT/CBSE curriculum and guidelines.
Verify scientific facts, diagrams, tables, activities, and illustrations.
Simplify complex scientific concepts for young learners.
Coordinate with authors, illustrators, designers, and internal editorial teams.
Review page proofs/PDFs and provide transparent, detailed correction instructions.
Ensure high editorial quality while meeting production timelines.

Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree required; graduate/postgraduate in Science preferred.
5–7 years of experience as a Science Editor in an educational publishing house, especially children’s books.

Skills Required:
Solid proofreading, copy-editing, and content development skills
Excellent subject knowledge of School-level Science (K–8)
Experience with AI tools and technologies is preferred.
High attention to detail and accuracy
Positive communication and coordination skills
Ability to manage multiple titles and meet deadlines
