Role & responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications and data-processing solutions using Scala.
Develop large-scale data processing pipelines using Scala and Apache Spark.
Build and maintain cloud-based data solutions on AWS.
Work with large volumes of structured and semi-structured data.
Develop and optimize ETL/ELT data pipelines.
Write efficient SQL queries for data transformation and processing.
Optimize Scala/Spark applications for performance and scalability.
Troubleshoot application, data pipeline, and production issues.
Implement reusable, maintainable, and high-quality code.
Collaborate with architects, data engineers, developers, and other stakeholders.
Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support activities.
Preferred candidate profile
612 years of overall IT experience.
Strong hands-on development experience with Scala.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
Experience working with Apache Spark and large-scale data-processing applications.
Robust understanding of SQL and data engineering concepts.
Valuable debugging and problem-solving skills.
Valuable communication and collaboration skills.
