Technical Head - Manufacturing & Estimation

Location: Kolkata | Full-time, in person

Salary: ₹40,000–₹50,000 per month | Experience: 5+ years

ABOUT THE ROLE

Own the technical side of our manufacturing business, covering customer enquiry estimation, product costing, quotations, manufacturing processes, quality and product development. Translate customer drawings and specifications into practical, accurately costed solutions, and research new ideas for the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead estimation for customer enquiries and orders; interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
Prepare product cost estimates covering raw materials and manufacturing processes, with transparent assumptions and supporting calculations.
Prepare accurate customer quotations based on drawings, BOQ and costing; identify missing technical information before finalising estimates.
Understand the complete manufacturing process, including intermediate operations, and assess product and process quality.




Identify quality issues and coordinate practical corrective actions.
Drive product development from initial idea through to production readiness.
Research relevant products, materials and processes and prepare clear technical reports presenting findings and recommendations.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
At least 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, estimation, costing or technical work for fabricated metal products.
Solid raw-material and process-costing skills, with the ability to prepare BOQs and customer quotations.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications.
Practical understanding of manufacturing processes and product quality.
Ability to develop products and communicate technical findings through transparent reports and presentations.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Experience with welded wire mesh, fencing or similar fabricated metal products.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
