Parashnath Polypack Private Limited is developing its plastic recycling unit and is looking for a hands-on engineer to operate, optimise and maintain the plastic pelletising line. The role will focus on stable production, pellet quality, output, equipment reliability and secure working practices.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor the plastic pelletising line, including feeding, extruder, screen changer, filtration, degassing, die and pelletising/cutting systems, as applicable to the installed line.
Set and optimise process parameters such as temperature zones, screw speed, feed rate, pressure, vacuum/degassing and cutter settings.
Troubleshoot process issues including unstable output, pressure fluctuations, poor pellet shape, black specks, contamination, moisture and inconsistent melt flow.
Coordinate raw-material preparation and blending to maintain feed consistency and required product specifications.
Work with quality personnel to check relevant parameters such as MFI/MFR, moisture, density, colour and contamination, as applicable to each polymer grade.
Track production output, yield, downtime, rejection/rework and material losses; maintain shift and batch records.
Perform routine inspections,
preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting; coordinate with maintenance teams and machine suppliers for major issues.
Ensure protected operation, housekeeping and compliance with plant procedures.
Candidate Profile
3–7 years of hands-on experience operating or supervising plastic extrusion, recycling or pelletising lines.
Experience with recycled HDPE, PP, LDPE/LLDPE or other relevant polymers is preferred, depending on the plant’s feedstock and product mix.
Working knowledge of extrusion principles, screw and barrel behaviour, screen changes, melt filtration, degassing and pelletising systems.
Ability to identify quality issues and adjust process settings systematically rather than relying on guesswork.
Comfortable maintaining production data, shift reports and basic Excel records.
Strong safety awareness, troubleshooting skills and willingness to work in a production environment, including shifts if required.
