Key responsibilities

The Draughtsman converts architects' sketches, mark-ups and design intent into accurate, well-layered CAD drawings that are ready for issue to site.
Draft layouts, reflected ceiling plans, flooring plans, elevations, sections and wall finish drawings for interior fit-out projects.
Prepare joinery, partition, ceiling and toilet details under the Architect's guidance, to GFC standard.
Incorporate MEP, HVAC and fire-fighting inputs into coordinated drawings; flag clashes to the Architect.
Prepare working drawings, shop-drawing reviews and as-built drawings.
Carry out site measurements and surveys; convert them into existing-condition drawings.
Update drawings quickly against comments and RFIs, with correct revision clouds, numbering and title blocks.
Maintain the drawing register, CAD standards, layers and file structure for each project.




Support quantity take-offs for BOQ preparation.

Requirements

Must have
Diploma in Architectural Assistantship / Civil Engineering, or ITI Draughtsman (Civil).
2–5 years of drafting experience, preferably in interior fit-out, design-and-build or an architect's office.
Rapid, accurate AutoCAD drafting with sound knowledge of layers, blocks, xrefs, dimensioning and plotting.
Understanding of construction materials, joinery and finishes, and of how drawings are read on site.
Ability to work on multiple projects to tight deadlines; willing to visit sites in and around Mumbai.

Valuable to have
Revit, SketchUp or basic 3D modelling.
Experience on hospitality, retail or corporate office projects.
Basic quantity take-off skills.
