Dining at Windermere Estate is designed to feel like a comforting meal in a welcoming home. Set in a cozy, two-storey space inspired by traditional cardamom curing houses, the dining area features warm hardwood interiors, a fireplace, and charming outdoor extensions to a balcony overlooking the tea gardens or shady garden spots beneath the trees. Upstairs, a quiet reading corner with loungers and a piano adds to the homely charm.

Our kitchen doesn’t serve buffet spreads or printed menus. Instead, we offer wholesome, slow-cooked meals prepared exclusively for in-house guests using fresh, seasonal ingredients from nearby farms and markets. Every dish reflects the warmth of local tradition and personalized care. We’re happy to accommodate dietary needs with advance notice.

A typical day at the table includes:
Breakfast: South Indian specialties alongside toast, eggs to order, sausage, bacon, fresh juice, and fruit
Lunch: Indian bread, rice, one non-veg, two veg dishes, and dessert




Afternoon Tea (4–6 PM): Tea or coffee with a traditional Kerala snack served in the garden gazebo
Dinner: Veg soup, salad, Indian bread, rice, two non-veg, two veg dishes, and dessert

Job Description:
Windermere Estate, a boutique heritage retreat set in a working cardamom estate in Munnar, is looking for a Commi 1 to support our kitchen operations. The role involves food preparation, assisting during service, maintaining hygiene and kitchen discipline, and working closely with the Head Chef. Candidates should have basic experience in Indian and Kerala cuisine, be punctual, hardworking, and comfortable working in a serene, estate-based hospitality workplace.
