Job Description: Social Studies Teacher (TGT)

Roles and Responsibilities
Teach Social Studies, including History, Geography, Civics and Economics, as per the prescribed curriculum.
Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, projects and teaching aids.
Use interactive teaching methods, maps, charts, presentations and real-life examples to make learning effective.
Develop students’ understanding of Indian history, geography, democracy, citizenship and current affairs.
Conduct regular assessments, evaluate answer sheets and maintain accurate academic records.
Provide remedial support and enrichment activities according to students’ learning needs.
Maintain classroom discipline and encourage active participation, critical thinking and discussion.
Complete the syllabus within the stipulated time and prepare students for examinations.
Maintain students’ notebooks, assessment records and other required documentation.




Participate in school assemblies, PTMs, educational activities and other assigned school duties.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding students’ academic progress and behaviour.
Follow school policies, academic guidelines and qualified standards.

Qualifications and Skills
Graduate/Postgraduate in History, Geography, Political Science, Economics or a related subject.
B.Ed. preferred/required as per the applicable recruitment norms.
Valuable communication and classroom management skills.
Sound subject knowledge and proficiency in lesson planning.
Ability to integrate technology and activity-based learning into classroom teaching.
Prior teaching experience preferred.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
