About us: M/s Pooja Enterprises supplies and fabricates structural steel for infrastructure, power, solar, railway and industrial projects. Our fabrication shop is at Ankurhati / Dhulagari, Howrah, West Bengal.

Role: QC Engineer – Fabrication. You will own quality and all quality documentation for the shop, from raw material receipt to final dispatch.

Responsibilities
Inspect incoming steel: verify mill test certificates (MTCs) against material, heat numbers and grades; maintain traceability
Daily stage inspection: dimensional checks, fit-up, weld visual inspection, hole positions, straightness
Raise NCRs for defects, get rectification done the same day, and close them with records
Prepare and maintain QAP/ITP, inspection reports, weld logs, calibration records and the full dispatch dossier for every order
Coordinate client and third-party inspections (e.g. RITES, BHEL, L&T;, TPI agencies) and get inspection clearance before dispatch




Check galvanising/painting (coating thickness/DFT) where applicable
Keep all documents filed and traceable so any report can be produced on request

Requirements
Diploma or BE in Mechanical Engineering
5+ years of QC in structural steel fabrication
Hands-on with measuring tools, weld gauges and inspection reporting; familiar with IS 800 / IS 2062 / AWS D1.1 or similar standards
NDT Level II (UT/MPT/DPT) preferred
Experience facing client and third-party inspectors
Valuable written English for reports; MS Excel/Word

Location: Ankurhati / Dhulagari, Howrah (work from our shop/office; you must be able to travel here daily).
