Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Deputy Quality Control Engineer to assist the QC Manager in ensuring product and process quality across manufacturing operations. The candidate will be responsible for inspecting forged and machined components, maintaining quality standards, controlling rejections, and implementing corrective and preventive actions to minimize defects and scrap.

Roles & Responsibilities
Monitor hot forging, cold forging, and coining production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and control plans.
Perform dimensional inspections using Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, dial indicators, and thread gauges.
Inspect raw materials, forged components, and heat-treated parts to ensure compliance with specifications and customer requirements.
Identify and control rejected and non-conforming products, and coordinate rework activities.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Maintain inspection reports,



calibration records, and quality management system documentation.
Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, including ISO 9001 and IATF 16949, wherever applicable.
Coordinate with Production, Tool Room, and Design teams to resolve shop-floor quality issues and reduce rejection rates.

Skills Required
Strong knowledge of dimensional inspection and measurement instruments.
Understanding of forging processes, metallurgy, heat treatment, and material testing.
Familiarity with quality control tools, inspection plans, and quality management systems.
Knowledge of root cause analysis, problem-solving techniques, and corrective and preventive actions.
Positive documentation, reporting, and analytical skills.
Effective communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams.
Basic computer skills and willingness to use AI tools such as ChatGPT or Copilot for work-related tasks, with proper verification of outputs.
Integrity, punctuality, attention to detail, and commitment to SOPs and workplace safety.
