Job Title: CCTV Operator / Surveillance Control Room Officer

Job Summary

The CCTV Operator will monitor live video feeds across assigned premises to ensure safety, detect security breaches, and coordinate immediate responses to incidents. The role requires high vigilance, operational precision, adherence to privacy laws, and smooth communication with ground security or emergency services. [

Key Responsibilities
Active Surveillance: Continuously watch multiple live video feeds to detect suspicious behavior, unauthorized entry, loitering, or safety hazards. [1, 2]
Camera Operation: Use Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) controls, joysticks, and software interfaces to track subjects of interest and inspect high-risk zones. [1, 2]
Incident Response: Immediately alert ground security personnel, police, fire, or medical services upon detecting an emergency or security violation. [1, 2]
Footage & Data Management: Search, retrieve, and export recorded video clips for internal investigations or law enforcement requests, while strictly maintaining the "chain of custody". [1, 2]
System Checks: Conduct routine checks on monitors, cameras, storage drives, and software to report technical faults or offline hardware promptly. [1, 2]
Documentation:



Maintain an accurate Daily Activity Log (DAL) recording incidents, system errors, shift handovers, and communications. [1, 2]
Compliance: Ensure all surveillance activities strictly comply with local data protection regulations, privacy policies, and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). [1, 2]

Qualifications & Requirements
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in security operations or electronic surveillance are a plus. [1]
Experience: Previous experience as a CCTV operator, control room specialist, or security guard.
Core Competencies:
High attention to detail and sustained concentration over long shifts.
Quick decision-making under high-pressure or emergency scenarios.
Robust verbal and written communication skills.
High level of integrity, discretion, and respect for confidentiality.
