Role Description This is a full-time, in office Legal Associate role based in Kolkata. The Legal Associate will assist with legal research, drafting and reviewing contracts, pleadings, opinions, and other legal documents, and will support senior lawyers in case preparation and strategy. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing legal issues, preparing case notes and briefs, attending client meetings, and coordinating with court offices and other authorities as required. The role also involves maintaining accurate documentation, tracking deadlines, and contributing to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives.



The Legal Associate is expected to work collaboratively within practice teams while managing assigned tasks independently and efficiently.

Qualifications
Strong foundation in Law, with sound understanding of core legal principles and procedures.
Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, reviewing, and formatting legal agreements, pleadings, and correspondence.
Demonstrated Analytical Skills for interpreting statutes, case law, and regulatory materials, and applying them to specific factual situations.
Effective Communication skills, including clear written advocacy and professional client-facing communication.
Ability to identify, assess, and address Legal Issues across different practice areas in a structured and timely manner.
LLB from a recognized university; enrollment with the Bar Council preferred.
Previous internship or work experience in a law firm or corporate legal department is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to handle multiple matters simultaneously.
Comfort with legal research tools and basic office productivity software.
