Purpose: To supervise pilot plant operations and execute trial and scale-up batches safely and efficiently, as per defined SOPs and process instructions.

Purpose of the Role
Supervise pilot plant operations and shift personnel.
Execute experimental, trial, and scale-up batches as per approved process instructions and SOPs.
Monitor critical process parameters and provide accurate process data for development and scale-up.
Ensure compliance with EHS standards, safety procedures, and SOPs.
Coordinate with R&D;, Process Engineering, and other cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise pilot plant operations during the shift.
Execute trial, experimental, and scale-up batches safely and efficiently.
Monitor critical parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow, pH, etc.
Maintain accurate batch records, logbooks, shift reports, and process documentation.
Ensure equipment readiness, housekeeping, and cleanliness before trials.
Conduct toolbox talks and ensure proper PPE and safe work practices.
Identify process deviations and take corrective action or escalate as required.




Troubleshoot process and equipment issues and respond effectively to emergencies.
Train and guide operators/technicians on process operations, SOPs, and safety practices.
Participate in HAZOP, risk assessments, safety audits, and process improvement initiatives.
Coordinate between R&D;/Process Engineering and plant operations for smooth execution of trials.

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech Chemical Engineering

Nature of Experience:

5 to 10 years experience in Agro Chemicals / Specialty Chemicals / Batch Process Industry, preferably in Pilot Plant, Scale-up, or Process Development operations.
