Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the library and ensure a conducive learning space.
Issue and receive books, magazines, journals, and other library materials.
Catalogue and classify books and resources using standard library systems.
Maintain accurate and updated records (both digital and manual) of all library transactions.
Assist students, faculty, and staff in locating books, references, and research materials.
Ensure proper shelving, storage, and protection of library materials.
Monitor library usage and maintain discipline and silence within the library premises.
Update and manage library software and digital resources (if applicable).
Purchase and recommend recent books, periodicals, newspapers, and other learning resources as needed.
Conduct periodic stock verification and inventory checks.
Prepare regular reports on library activities for management.
Organize reading drives, book fairs, and awareness programs to promote literacy.

Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science (B.Lib)



or Master’s Degree in Library Science (M.Lib).
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a library or educational institution (freshers may be considered with strong skills).
Proficiency in library cataloguing and classification.
Familiarity with basic library management software and MS Office.
Robust organizational and administrative skills.
