The Senior Engineer – IT will support and maintain operator, cloud, telecom and office IT infrastructure, with responsibility for infrastructure availability, troubleshooting, security, backups, access management and coordination with operator and cloud service-provider teams. The role also includes leading day-to-day technical support activities across the assigned infrastructure areas.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operator IT Infrastructure & Security

· Lead day-to-day support for operator IT infrastructure and security.

· Troubleshoot production hardware (HP, Dell, Lenovo and IBM), network, Linux/Windows operating systems and software issues.

· Coordinate server resource upgrades, including RAM and HDD, and manage IIS web publishing/hosting.

· Monitor production server health and alerts; maintain production asset records and software/OS licence details.

· Ensure production server backups and manage user accounts, access permissions and passwords.

· Submit URL whitelisting and firewall-opening requests to the Operator IT team; coordinate VPN user IDs for Operations & Maintenance access.

· Apply server security patches, perform OS hardening and coordinate closure of security audit findings.

· Support integrations with security platforms such as SIEM, ViPAM, LDAP and FireEye.

· Perform pre- and post-activity sanity checks for planned telecom/operator activities and support platform changes such as proxy and SMTP gateway migrations.

· Troubleshoot network issues using Wireshark and support IPSec VPN tunnels.

2. Cloud Infrastructure & Security

· Lead support for cloud infrastructure and security, including Linux/Windows OS and software troubleshooting.

· Coordinate virtual-machine resource upgrades with the Cloud Service Provider.





· Manage IIS web publishing/hosting, VM health and alert monitoring, asset records, and software/OS licences.

· Ensure VM backups and manage user accounts, access permissions and passwords.

· firewall-opening requests and VPN user IDs with the Cloud Service Provider.

· Apply security patches, perform OS hardening and coordinate closure of vulnerabilities.

· Perform pre- and post-activity sanity checks for planned changes and support Cloud Service Provider platform changes.

· Provide Wireshark-based network troubleshooting and IPSec VPN tunnel support.

3. Operator Telecom Infrastructure

· Support the Customer Desk in resolving customer call-connectivity complaints, including packet-capture (pcap) and Wireshark trace analysis.

· Handle voice-channel upgrades and E1 rearrangements based on requirements.

· Coordinate call-routing requests with the Operator Switch team.

· Monitor the health of production server voice circuits.

4. Office IT Infrastructure & Security

· Maintain the uptime of internet connectivity, email and critical servers.

· Manage office IT security, firewall security, antivirus and wireless networks.

· Coordinate staff computer requirements and resource upgrades, including project-related office resource needs.

· Troubleshoot office hardware, network,



operating-system and software issues.

· Monitor office servers, firewalls and switches.

· Manage and troubleshoot site-to-site and client-server IPSec VPN tunnels.

· Ensure daily, weekly and monthly backups; maintain office asset records and software/OS licence details.

· Manage office server web publishing/hosting, user accounts and access permissions.

· Provide IT support to nearby customer sites, including Vi Kakkanad and BSNL Palarivattom.

Educational Qualification: Any degree or a three-year diploma.

Mandatory Skills & Experience:

· Linux Administration (RHCE): course completion plus experience, or certification plus experience; mandatory.

· Microsoft Windows Server Administration (MCSE/MCP): course completion plus experience, or certification plus experience; mandatory.

· Computer Hardware Service: course completion or certification, or relevant experience; mandatory.

· Relevant experience: at least 2 years with Linux, 2 years with Windows Server Administration, and 1 year with computer hardware.

Optional Skills :

· Cisco Networking (CCNA/CCNP): course completion plus experience, or certification plus experience.

· DevOps: course completion, certification or experience.

Other Requirements:

· Valuable communication skills in English or Hindi.

· Willingness to work in any shift, including Saturdays and Sundays.

· Willingness to work from any of the listed locations: Kochi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Mumbai or Delhi.

· Candidates relocating to Chennai, Bengaluru, Mumbai or Delhi are eligible for the additional relocation allowance of ₹15,000, as stated in the resource request form.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹43,000.00 per month
