Job Title: Factory Manager
Experience: 4–6 Years in Manufacturing
Location: Chennai

Job Purpose

To manage overall factory operations, machinery performance, production planning, manpower management, quality control, and timely delivery of production targets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Machinery & Technical Skills

- Handle and monitor factory machinery and production equipment.
- Ensure proper machine operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Minimize machine breakdowns and production downtime.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure machine safety and proper usage by operators.
- Improve machine efficiency and production output.

2. Production Management

- Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Monitor production output and ensure targets are achieved.
- Maintain production records and prepare daily reports.
- Reduce material wastage and improve productivity.
- Coordinate with stores, quality, maintenance, and dispatch teams.

3. People Handling & Manpower Management

- Supervise machine operators, supervisors, technicians, and contract workers.
- Allocate manpower according to production requirements.
- Manage shift planning, attendance, discipline, and work allocation.
- Train employees on machine operation, safety, and production procedures.
- Handle employee issues and resolve workplace conflicts.
- Motivate employees and ensure teamwork and productivity.





4. Quality & Safety

- Ensure product quality standards are maintained.
- Follow factory safety procedures and statutory requirements.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and 5S practices.
- Identify production issues and implement corrective actions.

5. Reporting & Coordination

- Submit daily production and machine performance reports to management.
- Monitor raw material consumption and production wastage.
- Coordinate with management to improve factory performance.
- Track production costs, efficiency, and operational expenses.

Educational Qualification

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Candidate

A hands-on Factory Manager with robust technical knowledge, practical machinery experience, leadership ability, and proven experience in managing production teams and achieving manufacturing targets.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
