Job Description – Housekeeping Associate

Properties: Flora Vythiri Resort, Wayanad / MYSA SkySuites, Lakkidi

Department: Housekeeping

Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role at a hotel or resort.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Welcome guests courteously and respond to their queries and requests in a professional manner.
- Clean and service guest rooms, including changing bed linen and making beds to the prescribed standards.
- Replenish towels, toiletries, and bathroom amenities, including shampoo and soap.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, carpets, and other designated areas.
- Dust, clean, and polish furniture, fixtures, and room accessories.
- Empty waste bins and maintain cleanliness in guest rooms and assigned areas.
- Replenish minibar beverages and food items as per the prescribed standards.
- Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of public areas, corridors, and other assigned spaces.
- Report maintenance defects, technical issues, and lost-and-found items promptly to the concerned supervisor.
- Update guest room status accurately on the room assignment sheet or designated housekeeping system.
- Ensure the proper use, handling, and storage of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies.




- Maintain the cleanliness and stock levels of the housekeeping trolley and return it to the designated storage area at the end of the shift.
- Follow established housekeeping SOPs, hygiene standards, safety procedures, and guest service protocols.
- Coordinate with the Housekeeping Supervisor and Front Office team to ensure timely room readiness and guest satisfaction.

Candidate Requirements:

- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Housekeeping Associate or Room Attendant in a hotel or resort.
- Knowledge of guest room cleaning procedures, bathroom sanitation, and housekeeping standards.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and personal grooming.
- Ability to work in shifts and meet operational requirements.
- A guest-focused attitude with a commitment to service quality and teamwork.
