Job Description
We are looking for a mature, trustworthy, and responsible individual to assist with the personal, financial, property-related, and administrative matters of a family based in Malappuram.
This is not a conventional corporate or high-volume accounting position. The role involves managing personal accounts, occasionally representing the family in administrative matters, overseeing and verifying certain financial records of an educational institution, and coordinating land and property-related activities.
The position is best suited for someone who prefers a secure, long-term role, is comfortable working independently, and can handle responsibilities with honesty, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts & Financial Matters
- Maintain personal and family-related accounts and financial records.
- Handle bank reconciliation, payments, receipts, and routine banking matters.
- Review and verify accounts and financial statements of a family-associated educational institution.
- Coordinate with accountants, auditors, banks, and relevant staff when required.
- Provide simple, periodic financial updates to the family.
Land & Property Matters
- Coordinate land and property-related documentation and government procedures.
- Have practical knowledge of Kerala land classifications, revenue records, BTR, Thandaper, Pokkuvaravu, and land tax matters.
- Visit Village Offices, Taluk Offices, and other government departments when necessary.
- Follow up on land records,
certificates, applications, and property-related documentation.
- Coordinate with advocates, surveyors, and other professionals when required.
Personal Office Administration
- Act as a trusted point of contact and representative for the family in designated administrative matters.
- Follow up on assigned tasks and provide timely updates.
- Maintain confidential documents, financial information, and property records.
- Coordinate with institutions, banks, government departments, and service providers.
- Handle occasional additional administrative responsibilities as required.
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in accounting, office administration, property documentation, or revenue-related work.
- Working knowledge of bank reconciliation and basic accounting.
- Familiarity with Kerala land records and Revenue Department procedures is strongly preferred.
- Comfortable visiting government offices and following up on administrative matters.
- Mature, responsible, honest, discreet, and dependable.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valuable communication skills in Malayalam.
- Comfortable with a stable position where workload and responsibilities may vary from day to day.
- Looking for a long-term professional association.
Formal qualifications and a specific number of years of experience are less important than practical knowledge, reliability, and suitability for the position.
